This role provides the day-to-day technical expertise, leadership, and experience necessary to optimize plant operations of a batch emulsion polymerization plant.

The successful incumbent will apply technical skills to optimize plant operations, resolve plant problems, and enable the production of low cost, quality products.

- Work with local teams to optimize operations and meet business / plant goals (ie Health Environmental and Safety (HES), quality, cost, production, etc.).- Ensure that appropriate root-cause analysis is done and corrective actions are implemented to address unplanned events as defined in department trigger criteria.

- Provide leadership as needed to improve HES performance.

· Bachelors degree in Chemical or Mechanical Engineering required.

· Minimum of 1-3 years of experience preferred· Emulsion polymer process knowledge desired· Process control code writing and troubleshooting experience desired· Black Belt or Green Belt Certification preferred, but not required.

· Travel requirements are minimal· Strategic thinker with strong analytical skills and solid knowledge/experience with HES Performance & Compliance, Cost Management, Plant Reliability, Product Quality and Personal Development.
