This position provides for the installation, configuration and support of the Oracle Application Server infrastructure and its supporting constructs.
Duties include: – Planning and implementing the installation of all applicable components of OAS – Troubleshooting of the infrastructure, including consulting with the application teams on issues – Working with other infrastructure teams (Sys Admins, Storage, networking, backup, monitoring) to ensure functionality of boot scripts, backup routines, cron jobs, load balancer hardware, monitoring tools, etc. – Working with architects and GPF during Buildability reviews, helping teams understand OAS features.
- On-call work in rotation and occasional scheduled off-hours work.
- Expected to maintain and contribute to internal team knowledge documents.
- Providing Oracle DBA supportSkills Required: – Functional knowledge of all OAS components (Forms, Reports, Discoverer, mod_plsql) – Experience in scripting in Linux environment, including writing and understanding boot and startup scripts for all components – OEM experience (especially 10g).

Skills Preferred: Experience in providing Oracle DBA Support including working with DBA and views, exp/imp, rebuilding/reorganizing, statspack, SQL tuning – both at the instance and the stmt level, PL/SQL, roles, profiles, privileges and auditing.
Experience Required: Minimum of 8+ years overall IT experience that will specifically include: – 5+ years supporting the Oracle Application Server infrastructure – 5+ years working in Linux-based environments, including experience in scripting.
