Endeca is looking for experienced software engineers to help build the next generation of tooling and administrative user interfaces for our flagship MDEX server.
As we redesign the interfaces to the server, with an emphasis on the ease of use for setup, querying, and configurability, we are developing a new and improved set of administrative graphical tools and user interfaces.
We are looking for experienced engineers with vision to address new technical challenges and consistently deliver well-designed, high quality software.The ideal candidate will demonstrate a capability to lead or play a leading role in a team in an agile development environment Experience with software development principles and practices such as OO design as well as specific skills in some of the related fields named below is highly preferred.
Responsibilities include: – Participate in all aspects of the software life-cycle, including: definition, design, implementation, testing and delivery.
- Work with a small cross-functional teams to deliver software in response to business and technical requirements – Contribute to the design and approach for solving challenging problems aligned with Endecas technical strategy Qualifications: – Significant experience in software development – Strong skills in Object Oriented design and development – Ability to work in a collaborative environment – Excellent communication skillsPreferred Experience: – Architectural / Design experience – Leadership experience – Understanding and basic competence in user experience design and interaction design – Significant experience developing web-based applications – Significant experience with at least two of the following: Java, C++, .
NET, Flex/ActionScript – Experience with J2EE (JSP, JSF, Struts, etc.) frameworks – Experience with agile development
